Evelyn M. (Papp) Romanchik, 87, of Hartman Hollow Road, Benton, died Saturday afternoon, May 21, 2016, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born June 24, 1928, in Bridgeport, Conn., she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Gladys Papp. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Alex E. Romanchik, on Sept. 27, 2001.
Mrs. Romanchik was a member of the Benton United Methodist Church, where she assisted with the church dinners and various social functions.
Her hobbies included knitting, hooking rugs and doing crafts.
Surviving are her two sons: Wayne A. Romanchik and his wife, Marie, of Sheboygan, Wis., and William A. Romanchik of Benton. Also surviving are two grandchildren: Ann and Martin; four great-grandchildren: Myranda, Patience, Dylan and Angel; and two great-great-grandchildren: Sophie and Elayna.
Along with her husband, Alex, she was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
