Mr. Raymond “Ray” Arthur Franklin, 65, resident of High Point, died May 22, 2016 at Duke University Medical Center.
Mr. Franklin was born July 21, 1950 in Waynesville, NC, a son to the late William A. and Rosa Lee Wells Franklin. He lived in Delaware until moving to this area 20 years ago and worked as paralegal with Morgan, Herring, Morgan, Green and Rosenblutt, L.L.P. He also was a 26 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force. On July 6, 1996 he married the former Sandra Lynn Hammett who survives of the residence.
Also surviving are three children, Amber Wooleyhand of Kernersville, Teenya Franklin of Texas and Larry Franklin; and a sister, Pam Moore of Canton.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC with Rev. David M. Emery officiating. (Edited by Jeff Lovelace.)
