Edna was born on June 14, 1924 in Bowden, North Dakota, daughter of Jacob and Rose (Neumiller) Heimbuch. She graduated from Bowen High School in North Dakota.
Edna married Walter Franklin on August 30, 1941 in Waterloo. He preceded her in death February 15, 2014.
She was a homemaker but had worked as a sales clerk at Black's, Donaldson's and other department stores.
Edna was a member of St. Timothy's United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls.
She is survived by: three daughters: Kathy Harper of Holmen, Wis., Barbara (Tom) Graves Waterloo, and Janet (Tom) Fowler of Sedro‑Woolley, Wash.; one son, Clyde (Rita Young) Franklin of Waterloo; nine 9 grandchildren; and 19 great‑grandchildren.
Edna was preceded in death by: four brothers: Albert, Eddie, Fred, and William Heimbach; and fives isters: Martha Mowder, Emma Faye, Esther Seales, Elsie Smith, and Rose Jones.
Edna's family would like to thank Cedar Valley Hospice and Bickford Cottage for their wonderful care.
