Dorothy Elizabeth (Simpson) Lynn, 91, of Union City died at the Obion County Nursing Home May 23, 2016.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at East View Cemetery, with Mac Lynn officiating. The family will receive friends from 9-10:45 a.m. Saturday at White-Ranson Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Lynn, Kenneth Kemp, Raiford Tarver, Robin Francis, Jamie Andrews and Bill Flippen. Honorary pallbearers will be Lynn Laster, Guy Walker Gray and Larry Speed.

She was born Dec. 24, 1924, in Weakley County, daughter of the late Wayne and Lillian Simpson. She married Lowell Lynn Feb. 17, 1946. He survives. She was a homemaker and a member of Church of Christ. In 1959 she was the Union City Jaycettes Woman of the year. She had been a member of the City Beautiful Commission and Union City Garden Club.

She is survived by her son and two daughters-in-law, Chris and Margaret (Gray) Lynn of Denver and Wanda (Gray) Lynn of Nashville; five grandchildren and their spouses, Nathan and Stephanie Lynn of Broomfield, Colo., Lauren and Josh Jones of Westminster, Colo., Meredith and Chris Woodbridge of Edmond, Okla., Joe Lynn of Nashville and Annie and Eric Schafer of Ann Arbor, Mich.; and three great-grandchildren, Lola Jane Jones, Bella Jones and Cash Jones, all of Westminster.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Trent Lynn.
