Thomas was a member of the Manila Church of Christ, Garrett’s Fork Crime Watch, and a lifelong member of the UMWA. Thomas loved to travel to Daytona Beach and then head to the rolling plains of Amish Country in Berlin, OH. Tom took pride in gardening and kept his great tan while mowing his yard. Tom and Veda started each morning and ended each evening sitting on the porch drinking coffee, enjoying the buzzing of humming birds coming to their feeders.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, George and Anna Toley Crum, 2 sisters, Norma Mae Bender and Lucinda Seay Bender, and one infant brother.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 65 years, Veda Crum, daughter Debbie (Randy) Bias of Chapmanville, granddaughter, Radeana (Michael) Dotson, great grandchildren Breyer and Tucker Dotson all of Danville, WV, one brother, Sherman (Peggy) Crum of Chapmanville, and along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 11:00 AM, at the Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville with Melvin Gresham, Minister, officiating. Entombment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Godby, WV. Pallbearers: Brian Garrett, James Garrett, Hank Kessler, Michael Cowley, Robert Baisden, and Sherman Crum, Jr.
A celebration of Thomas’ life will be Sunday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Manila Church of Christ.
