Patricia A. Garofola-Byers, 84, of Bedford, died at 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at I.U. Health, Bedford.
Born April 16, 1931, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Clifford and Ruby (Allen) Spicer.
She married Phillipp Byers on July 3, 2004 and he survives.
She was a graduate of Bedford High School with the Class of 1949 and had worked for Hooks Drugs and later CVS Drugstore, Bedford, from where she retired. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Bedford.
Surviving are her husband, Phillipp Byers, Bedford; one daughter, Toni(Barry) Hunsaker, Bedford; one son, Clifford Garofola, Bedford; four grandchildren, Susan Garofola, Denver, CO, Michael Garofola, Portland, OR, Devin (Drew) Lemke, Bedford and Taylor Melenchuk, Royal Oak, MI; and one great granddaughter, Sadie Camargo.
She was preceded in death by her Parents; her first husband, Frank Garofola, and her brother, Buddy Spicer.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February22, 2016, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Bedford, with Fr. Rick Eldred officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Bedford.
Friends may call on Sunday, 1:00-6:00 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home. The Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
