David J. Gant, 85 years old, retired farmer, died Monday at Logansport. He formerly resided in the Brookville community but in recent years he had been making his home with his son, George W. Gant of Wabash.
In addition to his son, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Virgil Lockhart and Mrs. Mae Ross, both of Connersville; a brother, Lewis of Centerville; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Roach of Muncie and Mrs. Mable Poomey of Trenton, New Jersey and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday (today) at the Myers Funeral Home, Connersville, with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery, Brookville.
