Deborah Sue Dukes, 62, of Westfield, passed away May 20, 2016. She was born on February 27, 1954 in Ithica, NY. Deb was a 1972 graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School. She had worked at the Westfield Hobby Lobby and the Carmel Meijer. She enjoyed spending time crocheting but she especially loved caring for her cats.
Deb is survived by her parents, James and Phyllis Lamphire Hamilton of Lafayette, IN; husband, John R. Dukes of Westfield, IN; sister, Beth Swisher of Lafayette, IN; brother, Mitchell Hamilton of Baton Rouge, LA; two nieces and three nephews.
Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at 11 AM in Eagle Creek Friends Church, 18103 Eagletown Road, Westfield, IN, where the funeral service will begin at 1 PM, with Pastor Graham Richards officiating. Deb was a member of Central Christian Church, Carmel. She and John were actively involved in their Life Group at Central and were so appreciative of the love and support shown to them. Burial will follow in Eagletown Cemetery.
