Daughter of John and Jane (Robson) Dinning. Name changed to Denning when she came to United States from England on Sept 3, 1852 that is when the Denning Family was first established in America. Her mother died in 1857 and was raised by her new mother Rebecca Ann (Little) Denning. She and her parents settled in Henry County, Geneso, Illinois in 1862.

On August 17, 1865 she married a family hired hand Peter McGinnity in Rock Island, Illinois. But Hannah and Peter never lived in Rock Island, Illinois they only married in Rock Island, Illinois. There home was in Cornwall Township, Henry County, Geneso, Illinois. Hannah and Peter would have seven children. Six of them born in Henry County and the Seventh would be born in Equality Pointe, Illinois. One of her boys would be one of Baseball's Greatest "Joseph Jerome McGinnity".

Her husband Peter McGinnity would be killed just a few days after the birth of their last child in Equality Point, Illinois.

Hannah (Anna) died in Los Angles, California on March 31, 1921 of old age. She went by the nickname of Anna.
