He was born in Temple, Texas on April 1, 1918, to Refugio and Maria (Ortega) Calvillo.
He married Minerva Gonzales in 1936 in Waco Texas.
Jose proudly served in The United States Army in WWII, was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, and lived his whole life in Temple Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents - Refugio and Maria, his wife - Minerva, 5 sisters and 1 son - Joe Calvillo Jr.
Jose is survived by 2 daughters – Rosemary Condo and Gloria Jo Linda Stanford, and 1 son Henry David Calvillo all of Temple, 14 grandchildren, 31 Great-Grandchildren, and 7 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be at Bellwood Cemetery on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 10:00 AM, Visitation on Monday, May 16, 2016 from 6-8 at Hewett-Arney Funeral Home, Temple Texas.
