Mrs. Rhonda Walker Gibson, age 59, of 4526 Jonesville-Lockhart Hwy, Union, wife of Stephen Gibson, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Mrs. Gibson was born in Union, SC November 1, 1956, a daughter of the late Joe Walker and Louise Wright Walker. She was a graduate of Lockhart High School and was formerly employed with John Wolfe, a Division of Carlisle Finishing Plant. Mrs. Gibson was a member of Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Donya Gibson Sumner and husband Tommy of Buffalo; a son, Garrett Gibson of the home; a sister, Joy W. Tommie and husband William “Joe” of Columbia; a granddaughter, Isabella “Izzy” Sumner; a grandson, Landon Sumner; a special niece, Joely Berkland and husband Troy and their daughter Hallie of Marietta, GA and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Sam Baine and Rev. Kevin Dalton. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Chad Vinson, Caleb Cudd, Eddie Gibson, Bobby Hyatt, Todd McFerrin and Andy Gregory.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday evening at the SR Holcombe Funeral Home.
