Mrs. Helen Nation, age 90 went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at her home in Oliver Springs. She and her husband Leonard raised their family and also became foster parents to over 50 children, including several “special needs” children. Helen was a long-time, faithful member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and was dedicated to working in the Bible Print Shop. She was also very devoted to serving on the church food committee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Dewey and Irene Goans Wright;
Husband, Leonard Nation; Children, Paul Michael and Kathy Irene Nation;
Sisters, Edna Justice, Mary Jo Hartbarger, and Cora Wright; Brothers, Alvin and John Wright.

She is survived by her daughter, Diana Eddy;
Sons, David Lee Nation
J.L. “Jimmy” Nation and wife, Marolyn

Sisters, Dorothy Jackson and husband Farrell
Kay Colamarino
Brothers, Ronnie and wife Brenda Wright
Tommy and wife Linda Wright
Hubert “Grover” and wife Brenda Wright

Eight Grandchildren; Fifteen Great-Grandchildren; One Great-Great-Grandchild;
And several nieces, nephews, good neighbors, friends and church friends.

Special thanks to her sweet and loving care-givers, her great-grandchildren, Josh and Elizabeth Eddy and Caleb and Cianna Armetta!
The family would also like to offer a special thanks to Helen’s hospice nurses, Cheryl Haynes and Diana Jones for their kindness and loving care and to everyone who dropped by to visit and offer prayers and support.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 22, 2016 from 2-4:00 pm at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
Funeral services will begin at 4 pm with Pastor Garvan Walls officiating.
The graveside service will be held on Monday, 11:00 am in Anderson Memorial GardensK I9 8RT.
