Anne E. Stimmel, 87, of Sandusky, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
She was the eldest daughter of Joseph F. and Estella H. (Smith) Koepele, born Jan. 14, 1922, in Norwalk. She was a 1939 graduate of Norwalk St. Paul High School. She retired from Sandusky Anesthesia Associates. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was formerly a member of St. Mary's choir, a Eucharist minister and lector, Altar Rosary Society member, Stein Hospice volunteer and community supper volunteer.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas C. (Margaret) Stimmel of Tiffin and Richard W. (Mary) Stimmel of Bay View; daughter, Judy M. (Roger) Fair of Catawba Island; grandchildren, Brian (Laurie) Stimmel, Bob Stimmel, Dan (Laura) Stimmel, Mike Stimmel, Sue (Duane) Casto and Julianne (Brent) Graffin; great-grandchildren, Ashton, Kassiddie, Kenna Stimmel, Austin and Aaron Stimmel, Craig, Nick and Melanie Casto, and Logan and Bryce Graffin; sisters, Estella (Gerald) Kehres of New Washington, Clara Boyd of California, Ethel Missler of Norwalk, Teresa Zyski of Washington and Mary (Doyal) Cutnaw of Norwalk; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Lester C. Stimmel; parents; and sister, Leona Reilly.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Sunday in David F. Koch Funeral Home, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Prayers will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
