Cynthia D. Starkey, 56, of Wirtz, our beautiful angel went to be in the arms of Christ Thursday, October 29, 2015. She was preceded in death by her father the Rev. Milton M. Starkey and fiancé Donnie Jones. She received her education in the Franklin County Schools System and was employed by TJ Maxx for 30 years. She was a dedicated member of First Mt. Airy Missionary Baptist Church.She is survived by her mother, Carlena (Leonard) Starkey of Hardy; brother, Kenneth (Debbie) Starkey, Roanoke; sister, Sharon Starkey, Upper Marlboro, Md.; nephew, Shawn (Brianne Preston; great-nephews, Xavier and Myles Preston, Roanoke; and special aunt, Juanita Witcher, Wirtz.Funeral Service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, November 1, 2015 at the First Mt. Airy Baptist Church, Hardy. The family will greet friends from 4:30 til 5 p.m. No Repast. Private interment will follow on Monday, November 2, 2015 for the family.
