Dorothy Constance Weiser, age 100, was born on February 16, 1919, in Ottumwa, IA. She was the daughter of Arthur and Edna (Scott) Reyman. Dorothy married Burdette "Bud" Weiser on March 23, 1938, in Spencer, IA. They ran the North Y Café until 1946 and then moved to Pocahontas, IA and ran Weiser's Service Station.

During World War II, Bud was called into service and spent that time in Leonard Wood, MO and then returned to Spencer to run the North Y Café and Dinner Bell. In January of 1964, they moved to Worthington, MN and opened the Town and Country Café.

Dorothy and Bud were proud members of the Worthington community and served as the Parade Marshals of the Turkey Day Parade in 1996. Dorothy was an active member of the Eastern Star, Church of Christ, and the Elks Lodge. One of her favorite pastimes was playing Bridge and 500 with her friends - for hours weekly! Dorothy passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019, at Ecumen Meadows in Worthington, MN.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (Dennis) Wasmund of Sioux Falls, SD; three grandchildren, Chris, Dustin and Sara, along with ten great grandchildren. She is also survived by one nephew, Larry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud.

Dorothy doesn't want you to mourn her, instead lift a glass in her honor because that is what she would have wanted.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at 2:30 p.m., at the Worthington Christian Church in Worthington, MN. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Hartley, IA.
