Carole J. Wilson (nee Syzdek) Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Friday, May 20, 2016.
Beloved wife of Martin D. Wilson for 27 and a half years; dear mother of Brendan; dear daughter of Jo Ann and the late Stanley Syzdek; dear sister of Debbie (Jack) Lay, Denise (Joe) Samuelson, Karen O’Dell, and Sherri (Brad) Moore; dear daughter-in-law of Mary and the late Robert Wilson; dear aunt, cousin, and friend to many.
Carole was so courageous and inspirational in her 27- year fight with Multiple Sclerosis, always the outgoing “face of the family”. Dressing nicely and having her hair done were important, but her strong faith and love of the church sustained her. She loved her son and husband and was very close to her extended family as well. Carole enjoyed going to the pool, belonging to the book club with her friends and she was a huge Cardinal fan. She was always a smiling bright light and beautiful inside and out.
Visitation Wed., May 25, 10 am at Ste. Genevieve du Bois Catholic Church, Warson Woods., followed by funeral Mass at 11 am. Interment, Calvary Cemetery, Edwardsville, Il.
Donations to the National MS Society, Gateway Area Chapter.
