WOODRUFF, SC-- Mrs. Lizzie Collins Shelton, 97, of 544 Buncombe Street passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
A native of Hancock, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Vinney Gibson Collins and the widow of Jessie B. Shelton. She was a member of Cavins Baptist Church and a retired Spinner with Abney Mill.
Mrs. Shelton is survived by two daughters; Jean Knighton and Margie Jones both of Woodruff; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and eighteen great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12: 00 until 12:45 PM on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Forest Hills Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 PM in the Forest Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carroll Caldwell, Mr. Bobby Lowe and Rev. Bryan Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Wood Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank Beverly and Michelle with SRMC Hospice Home for the wonderful care they provided.
