Born in Alcolu, SC, he was a son of the late Charles P. Scott Sr. and Eunice Hodge Scott. Mr. Scott retired from the US Air Force as a Master Sergeant after over 20 years of service. Jimmie was very active with the local VFW Post 3034 where he served as a past Quartermaster. During his life Jimmie received many awards from the VFW including being named State Quartermaster. He was a diligent server for the betterment of all veterans. Jimmie was a lifelong member of St. Marks United Methodist Church. He will be remembered as a very loving husband, father, brother and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: five brothers, John Scott, Richard Scott, George Scott, Carl Scott and Cecil Scott; four sisters, Ellen Barker, Ruth Sessions, Rubye Corbett and Patricia Sigmon and a very devoted step-mother, Rosa Dennis Scott.
