US Congressman. After serving in the Army during World War I, he opened a successful investment brokerage business in Chicago. He was elected as a Republican to the Seventy-eighth Congress and served one term 1943 to 1945. Busbey was re-elected for three more terms, serving from 1947 to 1949 and from 1951 to 1955. An unsuccessful candidate for reelection, he resummed his investment business, retired in 1958 and resided in Flordia until his death.
