Funeral services for Geneva Cox Garnett were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006, in the Jackson Chapel Church of Christ with Bro. Travis Murray and Bro. Irby Perkins, Jr., officiated. Burial followed in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Leesville under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville. Mrs. Garnett, 88, of Leesville died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006, at her residence in Leesville. Mrs. Garnett was preceded in death by her husband, Robert James "Bob" Garnett; brother, Claude Cox; and sisters, Clydie Coats, Annie Bell Pagan and Dell Thompson. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and Irby Perkins, Jr., Jackie and Curtis Belton and Annette and Buck Vinson, all of Leesville; grandchildren, Candy Bennett, Laurie Tassin, Curt Belton, P.D. Vinson, Chip Perkins, Richie Vinson, Russ Perkins and Nathan Vinson; and 12 great-grandchildren.
