Final rites for Clifton E. "Cliff" Bunting, 94, were held Sunday afternoon at the Ingram Funeral Home.

Mr. Bunting died Friday morning at Rest Haven Manor where he had resided most of the time since November 22, 1972.

His wife, the former Ollie Neal, preceded him in death February 2, 1972. They had moved to Albion from the Little Prairie community 23 years ago.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Mary) Metcalf of Albion and Mrs. Myrvin (Gladys) Woods of Ellery; one son, County Commissioner Harold Bunting of Albion; nine grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. Two sons, Loy Neal Bunting and Howard Bunting, preceded him in death, both as a result of accidents. Loy, 25, died of injuries received in a fall from a train December 3, 1935 at El Paso, Texas and Howard, who was Conservation Officer of Edwards County at the time, died February 17, 1957 at the age of 38 of injuries received in an auto accident near Carmi.

Mr. Bunting, a retired farmer, was a member of the Little Prairie Christian Church.

Born February 27, 1881, his parents were Russell and Laura Smith Bunting. He was married to Ollie Neal January 1,1904 and they resided on a farm in the Little Prairie neighborhood for 49 years before moving to Albion.

Rev. Glen L. Vernon officiated at the services, with interment at Graceland Cemetery.
