J. Wirt Turner, Jr., age 98, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016. A native of Henry County, Wirt was a United States Navy Veteran, retiring as a Lieutenant. Wirt was a graduate of the University of Kentucky and served his community as an attorney in New Castle for many years. He was a member of the Kosair Shriners, the Masonic Lodge #189 and the GUOOF Lodge. He was preceded by his wife, Lois Turner; his son, David W. Turner, Sr.; a grandson, David W. Turner Jr.; and a sister, Elizabeth Sympson.
Graveside Memorial Service: 11 AM Friday, May 27, 2016 at New Castle Cemetery, officiated by Bro. Ed Berry, pastor of Henry Christian Church.
