There is a possibility that he is the private Joseph Dixon, Civil War that is listed in the cemetery. The last name often appears in records as Dixon.
Wives:
1. Rhodamy Weaver- Died 1848
2. Anna Jane Yarns- Divorced filed 1866, finalized 1868.
3. Mary Jane Chapman- Found living together on 1865 NY State Census,in Erin, Chemung County, with his 4 daughters from previous marriage and a young son, 4 months old. Not sure they ever got formally married, since this son is before he filed for divorce from Anna Yarns. He and Mary Jane went on to have 12 children that I know of.
