Morgan Donald Ellis 69 of Hewett WV went home to be with the Lord on May 21, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Frances Ellis, two sisters Diana and Sherry and two brothers, Sheryl Ray and Carl Edward.
He was a retired coal miner and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years Barbara; one daughter, Susan Dawn, one granddaughter Hannah Dawn of Wilmington NC, three adopted grandchildren, Shawn, Kandell and Colan Craddock; two sisters, Rose & Licia (Roger) of Hewett; two brothers, Ronald of Hewett and Randy (Patti) of Whitesville; three nieces and 5 nephews; a host of family and friends.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Handley Funeral Home, Danville, with Rev. Roger McCauley and Harold Ray Ball officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison. Pallbearers will be Ricky Ellis, Robert Green, Brandon Ellis, Ryan Craddock and David Lee Workman
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
