Thomas Lee Winkenbach, 48, of Claremont died May 8, 2003, at home. He was born Aug. 17, 1954, in Pittsburg, PA.

He was owner and president of TLW Construction.

Mr. Winkenbach is survived by his mother, Margaret M. Winkenbach of Pomona and his family, Agnes Winkenbach of Palm Desert, Bill, Caitlin and Lindsay Winkenbach of Portland, OR., Mike, Patty, Kelly and Michael Krause of Rancho Cucamonga, Jay and Bryan Winkenbach of Los Angeles, Susan Crutchfield of Pomona, Michael Crutchfield of San Diego, Michelle Crutchfield of San Diego, Shiela Mowbray of San Diego and his dog, Jackson.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at Todd Memorial Chapel, Claremont. Services wil l be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 16, at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church. Interment will be in Oak Park Cemetery. Todd Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

His family and many friends knew him as a big man with a big heart, a mans man! His winning smile proceeded him through life. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman and enjoyed water sports, River trips and ATV sports. He was a Dallas Cowboys fan to the end. He truly had a passion for life. We all have been touched by his kindness, laughter and love and our memories are such a gift. He will leave a big void in our lives and will surely be missed.
