Eva's Story
PRINCETON — Eva June Richardson, 83, of the Pisgah Road, Princeton died peacefully, Wednesday, May 18, 2016 in Princeton with her loving family at her side.
Born June 16, 1932, at Dunns, she was the daughter of the late Albert Farley & Cindy Mullens Farley.
Eva had retired from the Maidenform Corporation in Princeton as an operator with45 years of loyal service. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Union. She had been a faithful member of Pisgah United Methodist Church working on various projects within the life of the church. Eva will long be remembered for leading the effort to have water supplied to the residents of the Pisgah Road.
For more than 56 years, Eva & her late husband Jolly operate the Richardson Christmas Tree Farm on the Pisgah Road, at one time, it being the largest in the State of WV.
While her health permitted, she enjoyed camping, cooking, & working in her garden.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Howard L. "Jolly" Richardson, two children, H. L. "Buddy" Richardson & Donna Shehane, along with three grandchildren; Tabitha Lynn Richardson, Sarah Jordon Richardson & Brittany Elaine Shehane. She was also preceded by seven brothers and sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory, her three children; Gary & Lisa Richardson, Clarence & Kim Richardson, Janet & Michael Adams all of Princeton; 8 grandchildren, Amy, Kristen, Ashley, Toni, Chase, Dustin, Katie & Jordan. Several great grandchildren. Her only living sibling, her sister, Edith Jones of Michigan. A host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, May 22, 2016 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Scott Mayberry officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
