Elizabeth McMillan Maddox, 92 of Ochlocknee, passed away May 20, 2016 in Thomasville, GA.. She was born December 23, 1923 in Thomasville, the daughter of the late John Griffith McMillan and Erna Vera Moore McMillan. September 6, 1942 she married the love of her life, J.B. Maddox, who preceded her in death in 2004. Mrs. Maddox was a lifelong member of Barnett’s Creek Baptist Church. She loved being the librarian at Central High School and loved flowers and working in her garden. Her family was very important to her and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Elizabeth is survived by her children, Anne, James and John; grandchildren, Tim & Maggie, Dedi & Ben, J.B. & Jodi, Todd & Denise, Stephanie, Jessie, Danielle & Philip, J.R. & Anna, Michelle & Mike and Matt; great-grandchildren, Madison, Katie, Logan, Alli, Sara, RaeAnna, Kaylin, Taylor, Alicia, Chloe, Abby, Austin, Chevy, Colton, Elisha, Asher, John Matthew and Cheridan; Special grandchildren, DyAnne & Buddy and Michael & Vicki.
She was preceded in death by sister, Edna Benson and brother, Fred McMillan.
