Delsie Cochran Cabe, 88, of Sylva, died Sunday, May 29, 2005.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, in the chapel of Moody Funeral Home. Burial was in Wesleyanna Cemetery with the Revs. Loy Kennedy and Dan Stiles officiating.

Pallbearers were Doug Cabe, Russell Dalrymple, Doyle Dalrymple, Jeff Mills, Jamie Barlow, Frankie Cabe, Tim Frady and Timothy Frady.

She was a native of Jackson County and had worked as a custodian for the Jackson County School System for many years. She enjoyed gardening and was a member of Wesleyanna United Methodist Church. She was a daughter of Callie Wilson and William K. Cochran.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Cabe, who died in 1990; one son, James R. Cabe; two brothers, George and Warren Cochran; and one sister, Hazel Bryson.

Surviving are two daughters, Peggy Fouts of Sylva and Carolyn Dalrymple of Franklin; one sister, Bessie Cabe of Sylva; seven grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
