Claudia Jean Martin, 75, passed away May 3, 2016, at home in Calimesa after a long battle with lung cancer.

She was born Sept. 8, 1940, in Montebello and was raised in Fontana and moved to Calimesa in 1952.

She was a grocery clerk for Stater Bros. for 22 years at the Calimesa market and the co-owner of Ray Martin Trucking.

Claudia loved bowling, bingo, bunco, ceramics and occasional trips to Laughlin. She volunteered for 17 years at Redlands Community Hospital, at the Calimesa Senior Center and for Smiles for Seniors.

Claudia is survived by her husband Ray Martin of Cali­mesa, son Scott Mitchell and his wife Tracie of Apple Valley, son Steve Mitchell and his wife Millie of Florida and son Don Mitchell and his wife Linda of Menifee; daughters Toni Drae­ger and her husband Dennis of Yucaipa and Tanya Zoerb and her husband Matt of Acton, Calif.; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held on June 4 at 1 p.m. at the Norton Younglove Senior Center at 908 Park Ave. in Calimesa.

Memorial donations in her memory may be sent to Smiles For Seniors.
