Betty Louise (Frye) Bollinger, 73, of Snyder’s Run Road, Country Oaks Drive, Huntingdon, passed away unexpectedly Thursday morning, May 19, 2016, at her residence. Born February 8, 1943 in Huntingdon, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Viola M. (Scott) Frye. She was united in marriage to Ronald R. Bollinger, Sr. on September 15, 1965. Mr. Bollinger preceded her in death on January 3, 2014, after 48 years of marriage.

She is survived by a daughter and a son, Deborah E. Blair and her husband, Dennis, of Logan Township, Alexandria, and Ronald R. Bollinger, Jr. and his companion, Michele Leonard, of Snyder’s Run Rd., Huntingdon. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Rosa (Houck) Zozaya of Columbia, SC; six grandchildren, Chad D. Ammerman and his wife, Ashley, of New Jersey, Jennifer D. Ammerman of Juniata Valley Pike Rd., Alex Houck and his companion, Jamisha Ross, of Maryland, Katie L. Bollinger and her companion, Joey Allen, of Huntingdon, Jessica R. Bollinger of Huntingdon, and Elizabeth R. Houck of Columbia, SC; and two great-grandchildren, Cody and Ian. Also surviving are two sisters, Judy Streightiff of Florida and Beverly Irvin and her husband, Dr. John Irvin, of Blue Bell, PA. She was preceded in death by a son, John Houck.

She was a member of the Standing Stone Senior Citizens Center, Huntingdon, a former member of Women of the Moose Lodge #220, Huntingdon, and a former volunteer with the Huntingdon County Historical Society.

She attended Juniata Valley and Huntingdon public schools and was a graduate of Huntingdon High School.

Mrs. Bollinger was a real estate broker and REALTOR, and owner of B.L. Bollinger & Associates, Huntingdon, for 40 years until her retirement. Prior to becoming a real estate broker, she was employed by the Huntingdon Machine Shop and worked for 10 years at the former Riverside store in Huntingdon.

She loved flower gardening and enjoyed camping and attending cookouts with family and friends. She especially loved spending time with her family and going out to dinner with them at various local restaurants.

Friends will be received from 4:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Thursday, May 26, 2016, at the John B. Brown Funeral Home, 417 Washington St., Huntingdon. A celebration of life service will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Monday, May 26th, at the funeral home.
