Hamburg- Funeral services were conducted Thursday at the Indian Creek Church of Christ for Merle Lee Varner, 66, of Hamburg, with the Rev. Arthur Rowland in charge. Burial was in the Indian Creek Cemetery, near Hamburg.
Mr. Varner died suddenly Tuesday morning at his garage where he was an automobile mechanic.
He was born Sept. 18, 1903 in Hamburg, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Varner.
Surviving are his widow, the former Mildred Campbell; and three sons, Adrian of Tucson, Ariz., Sterling of Independence, Mo. and David of Nashville, Tenn.
