Lola retired from working at the BOQ on Travis Air Force Base, California, where she met coworkers that became lifelong friends. She enjoyed doll collecting, but Lola's joy was in her family. She was the beloved and devoted mother of six and always enjoyed being together for big family dinners.
Lola is survived by her children, Audrey Martin (Douglas), Denise Trovao (Steve), Arthur J. King, Jr. (Barbara Rose), Barbara King, Minnie (Princess) Cowin (Michael); her grandchildren, Kyle Martin, Aritta Abreu (Jorge), Nicole Wilson, Corey Martin, Ashley Sweat, Aaron Sweat, Savannah Cowin, Jerome Cowin; and her great-granddaughter, Chloe Abreu; her beloved siblings, Willie James Jackson (Dollie), Rosetta Bryant Nixon (George), Minnie Jackson, Leroy Bryant (Donna), Willie C. Bryant (Dorothy), Nathaniel Bryant, Virgle King, Lulabelle Carlisle (Johnny), Matilda Nether, Freddie King (Gloria), Katie Whittfield (George), Ada Clark (Mark), Alfred King (Sue), Wilbur King (Brenda), Willie C. King, James King (Chris), Eddie King (Sally), Jessie King, Richard King, Lillian K. James, Cleveland King, RB King, Bertha K. Thomas (Bonny), Barbara (Bobby Jean) Turner, Beverly K. Lola is preceded in death by a beloved son, Cleveland (Jerry) King; her former husband, Arthur J. King, Sr.; her grandmother, Elsie Lewis; her parents, Elsie Lewis Bryant and Robert King; siblings, Leroy Clinton, Robert (RJ) King, Roosevelt King, Dorothy Cox, Mattie (Honey) Lattimore, Willie B. King, and Willie L. King, and Mama Mollie King.

A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with funeral service at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2016, at Fairfield Funeral Home, 1750 Pennsylvania Ave., Fairfield, California. Interment will follow at Rockville Cemetery, followed by a reception at the Clubhouse at Dover Woods, 2801 Dover Ave., Fairfield.
