Helen Marie Herrington, 90, Topeka, died Wednesday, June 28, 2000, in Topeka.

She was born Jan. 27 ,1910, in Crocker, Mo., the daughter of Edward and Cora Long Wall. She had lived in Dixon, Mo., Richland, Mo., and Rolla, Mo., before she moved to Topeka.

Mrs. Herrington was a member of the First Christian Church at Richland, Mo., and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Railroad Trainman at Eldon, Mo.

She married Anton "Bud" Herrington in 1935 in Missouri. He preceded her in death in October 1955. A son, Virgil Denton, preceded her in death Feb. 8, 1986.

Survivors include a son, Johnny Herrington II; a granddaughter; and a great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Union Cemetery in Brumley, Mo. Mrs. Herrington will lie in state after 2 p.m. today at the Parker-Price Mortuary, where visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Visitation Friday will be from 7 to 8 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Chapel in Richland, Mo.
