Audrey E. Chivington, age 65, of Van Wert County, Ohio, died at 11:00 P.M., Wednesday, in the Van Wert County Hospital, following a brief illness.
She was born December 3, 1933, in Van Wert County, Ohio, the daughter of Francis and Sara (Ault) Bauer. In 1953, she married Billy Chivington and was the co-owner of Bill's Tackle Box in Van Wert, Ohio.
She was a life member and past president of the Van Wert American Legion Auxiliary, a life member of the Van Wert Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 5803 Auxiliary and a member of the Order of Eastern Star's Van Wert Chapter 48.
Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday at the Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, Ohio, with the Reverend Duane Rice officiating and interment will be in the Woodland Cemetery, in Van Wert, Ohio.
Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. today with an American Legion Auxiliary service at 7:30 P.M.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Chivington; her stepmother, Grace Bauer, of Van Wert, Ohio; two sons, Randal and William, both of Van Wert, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Sandra) Wood, of Paris, Kentucky and Mrs. Roger (Nancy) Myers, of Defiance, Ohio; one brother, Donald Bauer, of Odum, Georgia; one half-brother, Richard Gleckler, of Reidsville, Georgia and three sisters, Mrs. William (Mary) Crider and Delores Free, both of Van Wert, Ohio and Mrs. Thomas (Raellen) Hoblet, of Paris, Kentucky and ten grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, Clifford Bauer.
Preferred memorials are to the American Cancer Society or the Van Wert County Heart Association.
