Jackie Dean Bass, Sr., 81, of Houston, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016 in Houston. He was born August 26, 1934 in Jacksonville, Texas to his late parents, William Bass and Annie Stockton Bass. He was a longtime resident of the East Harris County area, a US Army Veteran and a retired Project Engineer from Intercontinental Terminals Company.
Mr. Bass was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Julia “Judy” Bass and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his children, Julie Lyn Baker and her husband, Emory, Dean Bass and his wife ,Vicky and Roy Bass and his wife, Heather; sister, June Bryan and her husband Jesse; brother, Paul Bass and his wife Sheena; 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Navarre Funeral Home. An additional visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 23, 2016 at Autry Funeral Home with burial to follow at Providence Cemetery in Jacksonville.
