She was born in Ladysmith, Wis., moving at a young age to Yakima, Wash., then onto Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, where she attended school and married, having one son.
She later divorced and married her husband of 38 years, Fred McKay.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; and both parents.
She is survived by her son, Jim Hegel; and five grandchildren, Kami Halsey and family of Spokane, Beth Hegel and family of Columbia Falls, Tim Hegel and family of Missoula, Tina Webb and family of New Jersey, and Sabrina Hegel and family of Kalispell; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Yolanda, and her husband, Garry Graves, of Tacoma, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.
