Diane Hall Sawin Baack, 60, of 1205 8th St., died Wednesday, June 23, 2004, at her home, following a brief illness. A private graveside service will be held. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis; and her son, Donald Matthew Sawin of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Donna Belle Hall Cumpston; and an infant niece, Rina Cumpston.
Diane was born September 10, 1943, the daughter of Donald G. and Della (Koppenhaver) Hall in Cedar Rapids. She graduated from Marion High School in 1961. On October 31, 2001, she married Dennis H. Baack. Diane was a member of Marion Christian Church. She worked as a cosmetologist in Marion and Cedar Rapids. She also worked at the Iowa DOT for many years.
