CARBONDALE - Ann Janell (Walters) Oliver passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016, in The Manor Nursing Home in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She was 90 years old. She was born March 7, 1926, in Carbondale, to George and Rossie Walters. Ann married Fred Oliver on March 15, 1945, in Carbondale. Survivors include four children, Sue (Larry) Graf of Hudsonville, Michigan, John (Sharen) Oliver of Townsend, Tennessee, Richard (Kay) Oliver of Savannah, Georgia, and Doug (Brenda) Oliver of Carbondale; one sister, Georgia Miskell; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Rossie Walters; husband Fred Oliver ; two sisters, Rachel Stearns and June Craig; and one half-sister, Juanita Little. The services will be in Oakland Cemetery after visitation which ends at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21.Wes Henson will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday in Huffman–Harker–Walker Funeral Home at210 W. Oak St., in Carbondale. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or The Alzheimer's Association.
