The son of Frank Gorski and Anna Bigus, Leo was in the U.S. Army in 1941 when he arrived in Coupeville, Washington where he met Mildred Reuble. He married her there February 17, 1945. Meanwhile he had served in the army during World War II. After the war he resided in Oak Harbor, Washington where he was employed by Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. He was brother of Joseph Gorski, Irene Kwiatkowski, Theresa Okroi, Hattie Okroi, Cecilia Chalden and Frances Gaulke, all of Chicago. He and Mildred had five sons: Leonard, James, John, Donald and Mark.
