Mary Lou Krajewski, 86, a resident of Fort Myers, Florida, for 17 years, passed away at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2016, In Health Park Hospital, Fort Myers. She was formerly of Kokomo. She was born April 13, 1930, in French Lick, Indiana, to Dwight Singer Sr. and Luella (Williams) Singer. She was married to William C. Krajewski, who survives.

She retired from General Motors in 1991 with 17 years of service. She graduated from Greentown High School in 1942 and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star 195.

Survivors include her husband, William C. Krajewski; daughter, Carol Higley, Greentown; sons, Michael Smith, Naperville, Illinois, and Martin Smith (wife Kathy), Windfall; stepsons,Stan Krajewski (wife Sara), Portland, Oregon, and Matt Krajewski, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; brother, Dwight Singer Jr. (wife Linda), Kokomo; brothers- and sisters-in- law, Ed and Mary Ann Krajewski, Jim and Donna Krajewski and Susan Krajewski; sister, Luella Margaret (Peggy) Duncan, Sharpsville; grandchildren, Steven Higley, Greentown, Trisha Harmon Vautaw, Augusta, Georgia, Jeff Harmon (wife Allison), Lafayette, Indiana, Mitchell Smith (wife Kathleen) Des Moines, Iowa, Sean Smith, Chicago, Illinois, Kevin Smith, Kokomo and Corey Dulworth, (wife Tammy), Tipton; great-grandchildren, Trent Vautaw, Texas, Jessica and Trevor Vautaw, Georgia, Makala Harmon, Kokomo, Julia Harmon, Lafayette, Lori Roberts, Lafayette, Jessi and Maggie Dulworth, Tipton, and Reagan and Baylie Smith, Kokomo; great-great grandchild, Iian Vautaw, Texas. Also surviving are her grand dogs, Bo and Cici, whom she always made sure to call and talk to on the answering machine. She loved her granddogs!

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Singer; sisters, Joy Myers, Susanna Sokol; son-in-law, Stephen Higley; brother-in-law, Bart Krajewski; and previous husband, Arthur “Sam” Simpson.

Funeral services will begin with an Eastern Star service at 3 p.m. Sunday at Hasler & Stout Funeral Home, 112 E. Main St., Greentown. Pastor Becky Sundquist will officiate the funeral. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Greentown, following the service. Visitation for family and friends will be from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
