Born in Greenville County to his father, the late B.D. Redding, and step father and mother, the late Rev. Paul R. Jones and Cora Pace Jones.
David was an active member of Victory Baptist Church until his illness. He served proudly in the U.S. Army before being Honorably Discharged. He loved softball, and coached many years for the Xtra Special softball team.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Paulette Harrison Griffith.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Karen Redding; son, David R. Redding (Melissa); daughter, Michele R. Morris (Wayland); grandchildren, Rebecca Jo and Emily Olivia Redding and Hunter David Ryder and Drew Wayland Morris; one niece and one nephew.
Burial: Robinson Memorial Gardens in Easley.
