He was born January 27, 1936 in Parkersburg to Arthur “Bud” and Lottie Atkinson Piggott.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Roberta “Jean” Riddle Piggott; children Anita Sampson (Roger), Tammie Harris McGarvey, Ronald Piggott (Misty), and Donald Piggott all of Parkersburg; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers; and four sisters.
Jim was a bricklayer by trade. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, riding ATVs, NASCAR, and football.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, James “Jimmy” Piggott Jr and Randall “Randy” Lee Piggott; two grandsons, Douglas Harris and Ernie Sutphin; and brother, Jerry Piggott all of Parkersburg.
Per Jim’s wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later time by the family.
