Mary Virginia Adams McCray, age 66 of Trussville, AL passed away on May 18, 2016.
She was born on May 31, 1949 in Birmingham, Alabama, the eldest daughter of Charles and Mary Adams and sister to Libby Adams Chambers.
She attended Robinson and South East Lake Elementary Schools and graduated from Banks High School, where she was a majorette with the Banks High School Band. She also sand in the Banks High School Choir under the direction of Benny Russell.
While Virginia was in her senior year of high school, she met her husband of forty-eight years, John Robert McCray. They have three children, Scot, Maurie and Kim and seven grandchildren: Austin, David, Bailey, Bobby, Brandon, Charlie and Maggie.
Virginia attended the University of Alabama. She was a fundraiser and booster for Franklin Academy, running the Halloween festival for several years. She was a member of the Princess Sehoy Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Her hobbies included dancing and sewing costumes for her daughters' dance recitals.
During her childhood and young adulthood, she was a member of Wilson Chapel Methodist Church.
