MICHAEL SCOTT SPRINGER Michael Springer passed away April 24th, 2016 in Chico, CA after a brief battle with prostate cancer. He was 63. He was known for his passion for music, playing guitar, banjo and fiddle in Old Time, Bluegrass and many other styles. He gave so much over the years to the music community, to the residents of nursing homes, and to many churches, always speaking through his music. He is survived by his wife Joy and sisters Janet, Karen, and Judy. There will be a memorial on Saturday, May 21st, at 1:00 PM at the community room of the Park Avenue Apartments, 1200 Park Ave. in Chico, CA. It will be followed by a pot luck, and a lively jam session of his favorite music. Instead of flowers, please bring a dish or a favorite memory of Michael to share.
