Sara Polhill Hilton, Sarasota, died Oct. 8, 2003. She was born in Boyd and came to Sarasota in 1952. She was a substitute teacher at Ashton Elementary School. She had taught in Sarasota County schools for 50 years. She received a bachelor's degree from Florida State University.
She was a member of First Baptist Church since 1952. She was active in the choir. Survivors include her mother, Elizabeth H. Polhill of Perry; sons Robert G. and William G., both of Sarasota; a brother, Frank L. Polhill of Clewiston; and a grandchild.
