Harriet J. Martin, 91, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at a local care facility.

Harriet was born on June 28, 1924, in Union Star, Missouri, to the late Bert and Mabel (Dodge) Peacock.

She graduated from Union Star High School and worked for H.D. Lee, as an inspector. Harriet was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church.

She married William Martin who survives of the home.

In addition to her parents, Harriet is preceded in death, by eight siblings.

Additional surviving family includes: three sons, Gregory Martin, Kansas City, Missouri, Terry Martin (Pat), St. Joseph, William Martin III (Barbara), Savannah, Missouri; sister, Frances Pioch, St. Joseph; six grandchildren and; six great-grandchildren.

Service: 1 p.m. Friday, at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel in St. Joseph.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Interment: Union Star Cemetery, in Union Star, Missouri.
