She worked for Brown Family's Hill Mill Dairy Stores and for her brother Clarence Nelson, as a bookkeeper, who managed clothing stores in Erie. She was a member of Church of the Cross and received the Woman of the Year in 1994 for Business and Professional Women and was a member of the Hamot Aide Society for many years. She enjoyed traveling and reading.
She was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters. She is survived by one brother Edwin R. Nelson, Jr. and his wife Rose of Millcreek Township and many nieces and nephews.
Interment will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
