Gertrude E. Woodsmall, 64, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at 6:40 PM at the Ft. Madison Community Hospital.
She was born on November 19, 1948 in Bushnell, Illinois to William Eugene and Hazel Warren Kreps. On September 16, 1972 she married Francis Bergthold and they later divorced. She then married Willis "Deke" Woodsmall on November 7, 1998 in Ft. Madison and he passed away on July 8, 2009.
Gertrude was the owner and operator of Basic Beauty & Basic Needs for forty two years, she retired on December 31, 2009. She was a member of Ss. Mary & Joseph Church. Gertrude enjoyed outings with her friends and reading.
She was preceded in death by her father, a brother, Phillip and a sister, Kathyrn.
