She was an aide and monitor in the cafeteria of the Jefferson County School System. She enjoyed playing BINGO, shopping, traveling, and going to church. She was a member of The Little Church in Shrewsbury.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Charles Eugene Farris of Clarkson; two sons, Keith Farris and his family of Louisville, Ronald Farris and his wife, Beverly, of Louisville; one daughter, Tonya Farris of Clarkson; three grandchildren, Ashley, Whitney, and Matthew; two brothers, Dillard Cook of Louisville, and William Cook of Glasgow.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. noon Friday, (May 20, 2016) at the Little Church in Shrewsbury. Bro. William Dotson will be officiating. Burial will be in the South Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and at the Little Church in Shrewsbury from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services."
