She attended school in California until 8th grade. Billie graduated Limestone Gap High School in 1947. Billie was a Clerk at Atoka Memorial Hospital. She married Billy Joe Garside on Monday, January 5th, 1948 at Sherman, Texas. She was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Stringtown. Billie enjoyed making dolls and sewing.
